Become The Yoga Teacher You Want To Be – Real Knowledge And How To Apply It Personally…..No Scripts, No Memorized Sequences, No One Size Fits All Formulas
Learn to teach effective yoga classes that are personal, inclusive, sustainable and teach students how to become autonomous and skillful at the art of choice.
This in depth program is designed for yoga teachers and long time practitioners who want to gain the skills required to become a master at the craft of teaching yoga to individuals and groups. This program functions in a similar way to a collegiate level education requiring students to understand yoga at its depths as well as to develop effective teaching skills for a classroom setting.
Participants in the program will be presented with the materials via lecture, experiential activities, discussion, reading, and homework. Through the process of inquiry and integration teachers will develop a deep and personal understanding of what yoga is. They will also learn how to create effective wise practice techniques and class plans for students in individual or group class to explore the topic of yoga at personal and applicable depth.
This program will focus heavily on the topic of yoga at its historical and philosophical roots and how to develop classroom programming that uses the body, breath and meditation to teach this rich topic. Many different traditions and approaches that have existed over time will be studied, so that upon exiting the program teachers will have a grasp of the context and aim that yoga has had over the many years of its existence in addition to developing their teaching skills.
Teachers who have prior training and teaching experience will leave with a deeper understanding of yoga as a topic, the historical context of yoga, the body and how to teach movement and positioning with skill, effective teaching techniques, and a new ownership over their teaching style and articulation of the information.
First time participants in a training program will leave with a fundamental grasp of the same information as the teachers with prior training, and they will have developed techniques to teach and practice within the bounds of their preliminary understanding and level of experience.
All participants will be encouraged to continue with their studies after the training closes and to be transparent about their level of understanding and who they are equipped to teach as their skills develop.
